At the end of KS2 children in Year 6 sit tests commonly known as SATs. From these we can measure and analyse attainment and progress within our school. We are proud of the hard work of everyone involved with the school, as academic achievement along with the development of the whole child is central to our ethos.
What are SATs?
SATs are statutory assessments carried out
by all state schools.
They assess how your child’s abilities
compare nationally with other children
in the same year group.
Your child will be assessed at
Key Stage 1 (KS1) during Year 2, at age 7.
These assessments are optional
for school's from 2022-23.
Further SATs testing takes place at
Key Stage 2 (KS2), when your child will take
part in National Curriculum tests in
English, maths and the new grammar test
at the end of Year 6 (usually age 11).
The government did not publish KS2 school
level data for academic years
2019-20, 202-21 or 2021-22,
due to the disruption caused
by the pandemic.
The last available published data prior to
this period is for 2018-19.
