Science Fair Project 2025
Science Fair Project 2025
As part of this year’s STEM learning month we are excited to announce
the launch of our annual Science Fair Project competition.
This is an exciting opportunity for children to work together with their families to investigate
an area of science that interests them and share their findings with the school community.
Children are invited to pose a science based question,
then research, experiment and present what they find out.
For example; Does my hamster have a good memory?
How can I make cress seeds germinate quicker?
Which liquid makes a surface the most slippery?

Science Fair Project 2024
Scientist Rebecca Nealon, an astrophysicist from Warwick University came to judge the Whitnash Primary School 2024 Science Fair competition. She was genuinely blown away by the projects she was presented with. She listened to each of the children presenting their projects and said she would like to commend every child who entered on their enthusiasm for their project. She was impressed by the creativity of the work and the way the children were all brave enough to stand up and present in front of someone new. She had an extremely tricky job selecting winners and would like to say a huge well done to all those that entered. We would like to say a big thank you to our Scientist for judging and to all of you who took the time to work on these amazing projects.

Science Fair Winners 2022
Science Fair Winners 2022
On the 18th May the winners of this year's
Science Fair went to Campion School
for an afternoon of exciting science.
They began with pond dipping where they
explored the nature area;
having a closer look
at what lived in the pond.
They found water boatmen,
lots of tadpoles and even a newt!
They loved looking closely
at what they found.
Next, they went to the new Science Labs
and had a chance to test the pH of liquids.
They used their observation skills to find out
if they were acids or alkalis.
Then finally they watched an exciting
experiment that made them all
jump out of their seats!
What a wonderful time they had!
